Behavioural changes in police called for curbing crimes

Hetauda –Chief Minister of Province No. 3 Dormani Poudel has asserted that the police organization should be more responsible and the police persons should consider changes in behaviour and attitude so as to control crimes and maintain peace more effectively. 


Addressing an event organized at the Province Police Office in Hetauda to mark the 63rd Police Day today, Poudel shared that the province government was doing homework to allocate adequate budget and formulate province police laws for the police to render quality services to the public. 


Stating that the province government was serious about increasing administrative capacities of the police in his province, Poudel urged the police organization to launch investigation into unsolved cases and to take further action against the culprits in line with the current acts and laws. 


On the occasion, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Shalikram Jammarkattel informed that the province government was going to launch an effective programme aimed at providing people peace and security, expediting search and rescue operation by police during the disaster, enhancing capacity of police and equipping police organization with modern equipments for efficient investigation into the cases. 


Minister Jammarkattel spoke of the need for the police to enable an environment of mutual trust between them and the public. 


Furthermore, he argued that the police should discharge their duty impartially and their activities should be more people-oriented. 


On the occasion, Deputy Inspector General of Police of Province Police Office at Province No. 3, Deepak Thapa viewed that the human resources in police should be trained and reformed time to time. 


He assured that the police was capable of maintaining law and order and peace as well as promoting human rights and curbing criminal activities in the province. 


CM Poudel awarded the winners of the various games with cash prize and awards held on the occasion of 63rd Police Day.
