Nepal defeats Bhutan in ICC World T20 Asia Qualifier

Kathmandu – Nepal has won today's match held under ICC World T20 Asia Qualifier 'B'. The ICC World T20 Asia Qualifier is taking place in Malaysia. 


Nepal defeated Bhutan by 117 runs to win in the match held at YKM-YSD Oval Ground in Malaysia. This is the fourth consecutive win of Nepal in the tournament. 


Earlier, Nepal had defeated Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand. With this victory, Nepal is at the top position of the points table and entered to second round of Asia Qualifier. The two top teams of the Asia Qualifier would get chance to play T20 tournament to be held in Australia in 2020. 


Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal had posted a target of 151 runs before Bhutan. In reply, Bhutan was limited to 33 runs after losing all wickets in 16.4 overs. 


Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi and Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets each while Basanta Regmi took two wickets. 
Similarly, Pradeep Airi, scored the highest 75 runs while Anil Kumar Saha made 27 runs, Dipendra Singh Airi 15, Arif Sheikh 13 and Karan KC 11 runs. 


Nepal will play against China on Wednesday.
