CM Gurung urges local reps to work in line with election manifesto

Kaski –Gandaki Province chief minister and Communist Party of Nepal( CPN)'s province in-charge Prithvi Subba Gurung urged local representatives elected from the party tickets to perform duty by keeping in mind the party's election manifesto. 


During a provincial level interaction programmes with mayors/ chairs and deputy mayors/ vice chairs of local governments organised here today by the CPN province organisational committee Gandaki province, the chief minister sought the implementation of the manifesto by local representatives as people voted viewing the same document. 


He took a time to call on the people's representatives to rise above personal interests, and follow the institutional decisions. Decisions motivated by personal interests would give birth to only anarchy in system and affect the entire party, he added, advising them to maintain transparency in the budgetary process and its expenditure so that the party could feel proud of them. 


Pokhara Metropolis mayor Man Bahdur GC shared that they had so far failed to deliver as per the people's expectations due to lack of required laws and human resources. 


CPN's Gandaki province chair Hitraj Pandey pledged party support to make the affairs of local governments effective.
