Teachers pad lock school

Lahan – Teachers of the Pashupati Higher Secondary School, Lahan have padlocked their school for not being paid for a long time.

The teachers pad locked the administration room and the office of the Head Teacher of the school for not being paid as festivals knock on the door.

“We were forced to shut down the school as we have not been paid even though we have been running classes regularly,” said one of the teachers Ram Kumar Shah. The padlocking as well as halting teaching and learning activities will continue until the teachers are paid.

As a result more than 1,000 students have been affected.
Meanwhile, Head Teacher of the School Prameswar Raya said the teachers have not been paid because the Lahan municipality has not released funds even though all due procedures were completed.
