Nepali team leaves for Bhutan to participate in SAFF U18 Women's Championship

Kathmandu –The Nepali team today left for Bhutan to play in the SAFF U18 Women's Championship scheduled for September 28 to October 14. The team was bade farewell by members of the All Nepal Football Association and athletes amid a programme in the Capital. 


ANFA's acting president Bir Bahadur Khadka, vice president Pankaj Bikram Nembang, president of women's committee Bindra Dewan and taekwondo player Sangina Baidhya were present in the event. 


The team comprises Anjana Rana Magar, Usha Nath, Kabita Rai, Nisha Thokar, Sushma Maharjan, Rojina Shrestha, Samiksha Ghimire, Bimala BK, Kopila Dhimal, Punam Faraswan, Puja Rana Magar, Saru Limbu, Manjali Kumari Yonjan, Shubhadra Khadka, Asmita Baidya, Manisha Raut, Suhani Kusuwar, Srijana Singh Thakuri, Samjhana Lawati, Rashmi Kumari Ghising, Rekha Poudel, Alisa Jamba and Samjha Sharma, chief coach Hari Om Shrestha, assistant coach Prakash Baidya and goalkeeper coach Asmita Khawas. 


The Championship will be participated by Nepal, India, Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Categorised into Group 'B', Nepal will play its group matches against Pakistan (September 28) and Bangladesh (October 2). Likewise, India, Maldives and Bhutan are placed in the Group 'A'.
