Federalism not expensive: Chief Minister Pokhrel

Butwal –  Chief Minister of province no 5, Shankar Pokhrel, has said dubbing federalism as expensive system at this time was wrong as it has not been so long that the local-level, provinces and centre have started working. 


Inaugurating the province office of Ratopati.com at Butwal on the occasion of Constitution Day today, Chief Minister Pokhrel said that now all should involve in making the federalism stronger rather than criticizing it as the federalism has not been established in a legal, administrative and psychological manner. 


He claimed that the economic growth rate would be eight per cent in next year, saying the incumbent government made it to six per cent from three per cent. 


The Chief Minister stressed that the family and society should be aware about different crime rather than linking the state in every incident occurred due to negligence. 


Similarly, Province Speaker Purna Bahadur Gharti said that the media should be made systematic and fair while founder of Ratopati Online and former central member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Om Sharma, Yanendra GC of FNJ, Rupandehi, President of Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khem Hamal, among others said that the media should play significant role in transforming the society.
