Schedule of Asian School Football Championship out

 

 

Kathmandu –The schedule of the Asian School Football (U-19) Championship to be held in Agra of India has been unveiled. The event has been scheduled from 20th to 30th September. 


Eight nations are competing for the title in the event and Nepal is in Group 'A' along with Indonesia, China and Thailand. South Korea (Republic of Korea), Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India are in Group 'B'. 


Nepal will meet Thailand in its first match on September 22 and face Indonesia on September 24 and China on September 25, for the second and third matches respectively. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-final. 


All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has already announced a squad to play the Championship. Chet Narayan Shrestha is the coach and Chakra Tamang has been picked as the goal keeper for the team that comprises Bishnu Kumar KC, Bishal Sunar, Surya Adhikari, Bikash Khawas, Nabin Gurung, Rajesh Gurung, Asim Gurung, Ranadip Poudyal, Sanchit Rai, Nitin Thapa, Manish Thapa, Jay Gurung, Suraj Thakuri, Anil Maharjan, Dinesh Henjan (captain), Budda Bal Tamang, Ritik Khadka, Anuru Gurung and Tika Gurung. Akash Ranabhat, Pawan Shahi, Bibek Rai and Darshan Gurung are in the list of substitute players.
