Janakpur-Jayanagar rail service undergoes test operation

Mahendranagar ,Dhanusha – In an optimism of resuming the operation of Nepal's only rail service (Janakpur-Jaipur), the test operation was complete on Wednesday. 


The Indian side undertook the test to resume the operation of the train service, which has remained completely standstill for the last four years. 


In this connection, Nepal Railway Campaigner Binod Ojha shared the Indian side has successfully tested the operation of 8.5-km long railway engine with bogie from Jayanagar train station to Khajuri of Nepali territory. 


The train carrying engines with 53 bogies had reached Khajuri station from Jayanagar on the day. The train saw a smooth movement along the league. 


He informed that there would no trouble in resuming train service with the successful completion of test operation. 
There was a huge queue of spectators to observe the test of the South Asia's first railway station that connects two countries. 


As a matter of excitement, the Janakpur-Jayanagar-Kurtha train service being constructed at the Indian assistance of Rs 7.0 billion has almost come to a final phase. ---
