Kanchanpur –The construction of view tower is gaining momentum at Betkot Lake area –the major destination of Kanchanpur for domestic and external tourists.
The six-storied view tower is being constructed through due bidding process at the total cost of Rs 7.5 million.
It is learnt that the municipality has taken liability of 30 percent of the total construction costs while the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development is bearing remaining 7o percent.
As the tower construction work is gaining pace it is likely to be completed within a week. With this coming into operation, tourists can take joy of sight-seeing of lake surrounding and Terai area.
Bedkot is 22-km away from district headquarters, Mahendranagar. The area is popular as a holy place of sagas in the ancient time. ---
