Deuba expresses grief over Rukum jeep accident

Kathmandu – Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba here today expressed his grief over the Rukum jeep accident. 


Seven persons were killed and four others were injured in a road mishap at Sisne rural municipality-5 of Rukum (East) district on Wednesday. 


The accident took place when a jeep (Lu 1 Ja 2573) heading towards Lukumgadh from Rumukot fell some 200 metres off the road. 



Releasing a press statement today, President Deuba extended condolences to the bereaved family members and wished for the eternal peace of the deceased ones. 


He also wished for speedy recovery of the injured which includes former General Secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists. 



According to the NC Central Office, Deuba wished for speedy recovery of those sustaining injuries in another road accident nearby Raile River at Righa Bhalupaile in Galkot Municipality-11 of Baglung district. 


As many as 14 passengers were injured in the accident.
