Study begins on developing model town in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi – New IT Venture Public Limited has begun a study on developing a model town with a view tower in Dhangadhi. 


Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City mayor Nripa Bahadur Od said initiatives have been started for building a model town in line with the plan of developing Dhangadhi into a smart city. 


Executive officer of New IT Venture Kamal Adhikari said the study on building a model town has been started. The estimated project cost is around Rs 1.50 billion. The study has started for the construction of this project under the public-private partnership concept. 


The model town would be developed on nearly two bighas land. A nine-storey building and another seven-storey building would be constructed in the model town. A view tower would be built on top of the nine-storey building.


The buildings will have business stalls, corporate offices, fitness centre, training hall, innovation centre, among other facilities, according to Adhikari. He said the non-resident Nepalis from province 7 would also be included in this scheme. 


New IT Venture is a company owned by Bhawan Bhatta, president of Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), among other NRNs.
