CPN (MC) demands to save Dr KC's life

Kathmandu – Central Secretariat (standing committee) meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has demanded to save the life of Dr Govinda KC. Dr KC has been staging hunger-strike for the 15th times putting forth six-point demands including reform in medical education and health sectors. 


The meeting urged the government to fulfill the genuine demands of KC immediately, said Standing Committee member, Alok Rayamajhi. Objecting the attempts of some political parties to give political colour to the KC's agitation with ill intension, the party decided to express its solidarity with KC's agitation. 


The party also demanded to carry out investigation regarding affiliation given to more than 13 schools under the Indian government. 


The party also urged to scrap such illegal decision immediately, drawing the conclusion that such act would make serious long-term effect in country's nationality and sovereignty.
