Truss bridge constructed at round-Dhaulagiri trekking route

Myagdi – A truss bridge has been constructed over the Chharikhola river at Kalleni along the Dhaulagiri circuit trekking route in Myagdi district.

The locals of Kalleni constructed the 32 metres long bridge at a total cost of Rs 2.4 million, with support from the Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality, the Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU) and a local organisation called Milan Myagdi. The bridge connects Ward no 4 and 6 of the rural municipality.

More than 300 households of Kalleni, Shiwang, Nerwang, Mudi, Naura and Bagar have been benefited by the bridge. Similarly, tourists, tour guides and tourism workers using the round-Dhaulagiri trekking route have been benefitted from this. The truss bridge replaces a rickety wooden bridge.
