Suspension bridge eases life in remote Simkosh

Babiyachaur, Myagdi – A suspension bridge has been constructed over the Myagdi rivulet along the border of Jeltung and Simkosh village of Dhaulagiri rural municipality-4, Mudi. 


Locals of Simkosh Bagargaun in geographically remote area have constructed 102-metre long suspension bridge on their own. 


People have been facing trouble in crossing the stream when the flood-fed Myagdi River had swept away a wooden suspension bridge last year. 


Users Committee Chairperson Nar Prasad Pun shared that the bridge construction has solved complications in crossing rivulet through small wooden bridge and rope way.. 


As many as 223 local people of 37 households have been benefitted from the suspension bridge which was constructed at the cost of Rs 4.61 million. ---
