Two killed as truck plunges into Saptakoshi river

Rajbiraj – Two persons died and seven others were injured when a truck plunged into the Saptakoshi river along the east-west highway today. 


The deceased have been identified as Ghanshyam Chaudhary, 45, of Ramdhuni-1 and Binod Baraili of Baraha municipality-1 of Sunsari district, said Superintendent of Police of Saptari, Mukesh Kumar Singh.

 
Similarly, the injured have been sent to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital for treatment, added Singh. 
The accident took place when the truck (Na 4 Kha 356) carrying an excavator (Ko 1 Kha 1043) fell into the Saptakoshi river. The truck was heading towards Biratnagar from Hetauda.
