Phalebas, Parbat –, June 12 (RSS): At least 300 women have received health care services for free in a health camp organized for uterus checkups in Jaljala Rural Municipality of Parbat district on Monday.
The Social Development Ministry of the Province No. 4 organized the free health camp in order to offer services to the needy women of the rural areas in their doorsteps. Mallaj Health Post of the rural municipality said that nearly 20 women have been provided referral services for surgery.
Gynaecologist Dr Tika Kumari Gurung and other doctors offered their services to the women visiting the camp for uterus checkups. On the occasion, Dr Gurung urged the women not to conceal their diseases adding that uterus cancer was second key reason in the world to claim lives of women. She said that the uterus cancer is curable if timely treatment was provided to the patients.
Public health nurse Kalpana Gurung said that the free health care camp was organized to treat the patients by identifying the problem of uterus prolapsed.
