Two killed after truck plunges into Trishuli river

Malekhu, Dhading –Two people have gone missing after the truck they were travelling in fell into the Trishuli river on Friday night. 


The truck (registration number Na 5 Kha 3415) carrying cement veered off the road and fell 90 feet into the river at Jogimara of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality- 10 in Dhading district. The truck was heading towards Kathmandu from Bhairahawa, the Area Police Office, Gajuri said. 


Those missing in the truck plunge are the truck driver Top Bahadur Shrestha, 27, of Bahrabise, Sindhupalchok and his helper Tulasi Dulal, 19. The vehicle is submerged in the river, it is stated. 


Another person who was injured in the incident is being treated at the Highway Community Hospital, Malekhu. 
A search is on for those missing but the rescuers are facing difficulty in the search as the water level in the river has increased.
