Health –related infrastructures to be developed as per federal setup: State Minister Aryal

Kathmandu – Minister of State for Health and Population, Padma Kumari Aryal, has said that the government was active in building health infrastructures and an effective health system as per the federal structure. 


Addressing the 71st session of World Health Organisation in Geneva on Wednesday, State Minister Aryal also urged the international community for the collaboration in institutional development of health sector, health related physical infrastructures at local-level and in enhancing the quality of health services. 


Shedding light on the achievements made so far by Nepal in the health sector, she said that Nepal has reached close to meeting the Millennium Development Goals, according to State Minister Aryal's Personal Secretary, Rajesh Sharma. 


She also stressed on the effective role of Nepal in formulating policy, plan and programme of WHO. 
Minister of State Aryal on Wednesday met with Health Minister of India and Chinese delegation separately and held discussion about the collaboration in health sector and the possible areas of cooperation in the days ahead.
