Bhaktapur municipality generates over Rs 911 income in 10 months

Bhaktapur – Bhaktapur Municipality has generated over Rs 911 million from various sources in the past 10 months alone in the current fiscal year 2074\75. The municipality's expenditure stands at over Rs 781 in the same period, said Mayor Sunil Prajapati. 

The first municipal meeting held 11 months ago endorsed more than Rs 1.5 billion for the current fiscal year. The municipality has made income from Dekomiwa Itapake housing project in which it invested a loan of Rs 100 million taken out from the National Reconstruction Authority. 

Of the budget released for the FY, said Prajapati the municipality will spend Rs 40.1 million in running and managing Khwopa College, Khwopa Engineering College, Khwopa College of Engineering, Khwopa Polytechnic Institute, Sharadha College and Public Health Service Centre, the projects being run by the municipality itself. 
The municipality has target of spending Rs 65 million in clean-up and sanitation of the town.
