The garbage collection will start from Murgiya, Saljhandi and Kalauni – the prime marketplaces within the municipality – in the first phase and will later spread out to other locations.

Mayor KC said a 20 – litre dustbin will be brought into use by charging Rs 30 to 1500 to manage the garbage. He added that the municipal office agreed to provide Rs 275,000 to the private sector to manage the waste.

The different town development organizations will be provided with 2500 dustbins for waste management and additional 2500 dustbins later. "The beauty of the town is an indicator of its civilization, so everyone must embrace it," KC shared.

The Mayor said he has prohibited burning down plastic products and warned of charging fine against anyone violating the order. The Sainamaina municipality produces 15 quintals of waste products in a week.
