Bhaktapur –Three people were killed when a tipper rammed a scooter in Bhaktapur today.
The deceased have been identified as scooter rider Hari Bahadur Katuwal, 50, from Melung-6, Dolakha and currently living at Lokanthali of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-1, Sabita Ghimire, around 42 and Abindra Ghimire, Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi's deputy superintendent of police, Deepak Shreshta confirmed.
The tipper en route to Kathmandu from Kavrepalanchowk knocked down the scooter, killing all the three including two pillion riders on the spot. The dead bodies have been kept in the Bhaktapur Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The tipper driver is on the run following the accident. Police have taken the vehicle under control and are searching for the driver.
