Rule of criminals, corrupt people will end: Home Minister Thapa

Bhaktapur –Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa today said that people's rule would be established by ending the rule of hooligans, criminals and corrupt people. Referring to a clampdown on a syndicate in transportation by the government, he said the government is on the path to development and prosperity by ending any sort of such illegal practices. 


The minister was speaking at a programme organised here to honour and felicitate the families of those killed and disappeared during the Maoist's decade long insurgency. 


Saying the government is committed to providing a 'decent' help and honouring the families of those killed and disappeared during the rebellion, he pointed out their sacrifice and contribution in forming the federal government which is now advancing towards socialism. 


He also directed the police to curb increasing illegal extraction of construction materials from rivers in the district. 


On the occasion, other speakers like Nepal Communist Party leader Dil Krishna Prajapati and party district coordinator DP Dhakal suggested to the incumbent government honouring the families of martyrs and those disappeared during the insurgency. (Photo available)
