Two CPN cadres involved in attacking police escorting team arrested

Tripurakot, Dolpa – Police have arrested two cadres of Communist Party Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand involved in attacking a police escorting team. 


They are Nar Bahadur Rana of Tatopani, Surkhet, and Santosh Khadka of Abalching. According to the District Police Office, Dolpa, a police team deployed from Tripurakot, Jufal and Dunai arrested them on Monday night when they were hiding in a bush at Tripurasundari municipality-3. 


A large number of security personnel were deployed after Rana and Khadka liberated CPN District member Sagar Shahi from Thulibheri municipality-9 by attacking the police escorting team. Police had arrested Shahi while he was imposing the Nepal banda announced by the party on Saturday, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hari Prasad Sharma. 


Out of five CPN cadres involved in attacking police escorting team, three are still at large and search for them was underway.
