Over 50 people injured in road mishap in Mahottari

Gaushala – More than 50 people have been injured in a road mishap at Parikauli chowk of Jaleshwor municipality along Bhitthamod-Janakpur road section today this afternoon.
According to Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Mahottari, Kuber Kadayet, a bus (Ja 1 Kha 701) heading towards Janakpur from Bhitthamod of Mahottari overturned in a ditch along the roadside after the bus driver lost the control of bus due to overspeed.
Of the injured, 13 are undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Jaleshwor and the remaining at Janakpur Zonal Hospital.
Out of the injured, seven are in critical condition and some of the injured have returned home after the treatment.
The bus was carrying more than 100 passengers. Bus driver and an assistant to the driver have been absconding after the accident. Nepal Army, Nepal Police and locals had carried out rescue operation at the incident site.
