Damauli – Nepal Army's Lance Corporal, Navaraj Saud, has won the Byas Town Ultra Marathon held on Saturday by the Byas municipality.
32 – year – old Saud was the first to cross the finish line by leaving 159 runners behind him. Saud covered 44 km in just 3 hours 13 minutes and 53 seconds.
The Lance Corporal from Tribhuvan Army Club in Kathmandu said he won because he remained mindful of the time.
Rajan Khatri, 33, from Tribhuvan Army Club became the first – runner up by completing the race in 3 hours 17 minutes. Durga Budha Magar, a teacher from Rukum, completed the race in 3 hours 19 minutes and 31 seconds to register as the second – runner up.
The winner, first – runner up and second – runner up won Rs 75,075, Rs 55,075 and Rs 35,075 in cash prizes respectively.
