NA constructs 1,048 km roads so far

Kathmandu – The Nepal Army has so far completed works on opening the track of 26 road projects of the country. 


According to the Development and Construction Directorate of the Nepal Army, a total of 1,048 kilometres of road has been constructed in course of completing these projects. The Nepal Army had got responsibility to construct the roads in rural and hilly districts.

 
The NA had constructed Surkhet-Jumla, Nagma-Gamgadhi, Beshishahar-Chame, Musikot-Burtibang, Baglung-Beni-Jomsom, Jomsom-Korala, Chhinchu-Jajarkot, Salyan-Musikot, Abuba-Bhachchek, Gorkha-Aarughat roads. 


Similarly, the NA had opened the track of Kathmandu-Tarai fast track, Gorkha-Manakamana road, Hile-Leguwa road, Katari-Okhaldhunga road, Trishuli-Somdang road, Satdobato-Nibelbaluwa road, Devsthal Kainakada-Chaurjahari road, Champapur-Barahachhetra alternative track, among others. 


Likewise, the Nepal Army has now been carrying out pilot track opening task of five road sections of the country. According to the Directorate, the length of the under-construction roads carried out by NA - Jajarkot-Dunai, the Kaligandaki corridor, Reishuli-Syaphrubeshi, Karnali corridor and Gorkha-Aarughat-Larke is 473 kilometres.
