Dhwakha and Pradhan receive Panchavir Awards

 

 

Kathmandu – Lalita Dhwakha and Madhav Lal Pradhan were conferred 'Panchavir Singh Award' on Saturday for exemplary write-ups on Buddhism coinciding with the 2560 Buddhist Calendar Year. 

The Youth Buddha Group, Kathmandu has been conferring the annual award on a male and a female writer for publishing outstanding articles on Buddhism in Nepal Bhasa Times daily. 

Dhwakha received the award under the title 'Influential Leader is Today's Necessity' while Pradhan received the award for 'Anapana Dhyan' or Anapana Meditation. 

The award was established by Panchavir Singh Tuladhar to recognize the contribution and write-ups that promote Buddhism and upgrade Nepal Bhasa and its literature. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 11,111. 

At the programme presided over by Group's Chairman Tej Narayan Manandhar on Saturday, Nepal Bhasa Misa: Khala: Chairperson Mangala Karanjit handed over the awards. On the occasion Panchavir Singh Tuladhar donated Rs 25,000 to the Group.
