NPC vice-chair lays foundation of water supply project

Gorkha - National Planning Commission (NPC) vice-chair Dr Swarnim Wagle on Saturday laid the foundation stone of a drinking water project at Ghairung of Sahid Lakhan rural municipality-6 in the district. 
The water supply project will be constructed at a cost of Rs 67.6 million within three years. Four hundred households at Ghairung would be benefitted after the construction of the project which will lift the water from the Karangkhola river up to the village for supply. 
On the occasion, NPC vice-chair Wagle said there would be no shortage of funds for the project if works were carried out in speedy manner. The NPC has already released Rs 10 million for the project. Twenty per cent of the total cost would be met through the voluntary labour of the consumers, it is stated.
