KATHMANDU, June 10: Sexual and gender minorities came out to the street and rallied for the 5th 'Pride Parade' in Kathmandu on Sunday. The parade named 'Nepal Pride Parade' started from Shanti Batika and Narayanchaur.

The month of June is also referred to as Pride Month worldwide. In this month, sexual and gender minorities parade over their cities in what is referred to as the 'Pride Parade'. The parade was first organized after the Stonewall riots in June 1969 in New York.
