Top leaders of three major parties discuss making TRC bill universally acceptable with Speaker Ghimire

KATHMANDU, April 11: A discussion between the top leaders of the three major parties was held at the residence of the Speaker, Devraj Ghimire at Baluawatar on Tuesday.

Present in the discussion along with Speaker Devraj Ghimire were Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli. 

In the discussion, the parties have agreed to make TRC and other bills fair and universally acceptable. During the discussion, Prime Minister Prachanda was of the opinion that the content and process of the TRC Bill can be discussed but it should be finalized soon. In that, UML President KP Sharma Oli said that they should proceed in a way that is fair and acceptable to all parties and that they are in favor of finalizing the TRC Bill as soon as possible.

The chief whip of the UML, Padam Giri said that the leaders also agreed to decide on the leadership and representation of the joint committee and other committees.

The Speaker's Secretariat informed that the next meeting will be held on 14th April at 1 pm at Singha Darbar.
