Four- wheeler banned on KMC seven wards' inner routes

Kathmandu, The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has banned the movement of four- wheeler on inner route of seven wards within the metropolis from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. 
The KMC office has banned the entry of four- wheeler into inner streets, citing for the protection of heritage sites of historic, cultural and archaeological importance situating along such routes. 
According to KMC Office administrative officer, Dhaniram Sharma, movement of four wheeler has been banned on inner streets of KMC ward numbers 17, 18, 19, 22, 24, 25 and 27 for 12 hours in a day beginning from today, bearing in mind the necessity to protect heritage sites and the congested passage and a growing flow of people's movement there. 

A fine of Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 has been determined in a case of anyone violating the order. 
However, vehicles carrying ill people, new mothers, aged citizens and ambulance and fire engine are allowed for making movements at these routes anytime. 
The Bhotahiti- Asan Chowk one way route for four wheeler has been prohibited. Likewise, the route stretching from Naradevi to Indrachowk via Bhedasingh, the Tengal- Bedasingh- Indrachowk route and the Chhetrapti- Thahiti- Naghal- Bangemudha- Bhedasingh has been declared one-way. 
Entry of four- wheeler into the routes from Indrachwok to Asan, Indrachowk to Bhedasingh, Jyatha to Tyaud, Thahiti to Asan, Kamalaxi to Asan, Mahboudhha to Asan and Indrachwok to Batu has been completely banned from 7: am to 7:00 pm.
