Inaruwa,The District Administration Office, Sunsari has held a review meeting with the bodies concerned following complaints that the relief materials provided by the government to the local levels was not distributed in an efficient manner.
The relief materials were provided to the local levels to be distributed to the underprivileged and needy people affected by cold.

In this connection, the District Administration Office has urged the local levels to submit the details of the relief materials they have distributed in the meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee.
CDO Parajuli said public complaints that the relief goods were distributed on the basis of political affiliations and some relief materials were stored without distributing them to the needy have been received. He directed the bodies concerned to immediately distribute the relief materials on the basis of priority by identifying the victims.
The local level people's representatives attending the meeting had complained to the district authorities that the relief materials provided to them for distribution to the cold-affected people were not sufficient. They were facing difficulties in their distribution, as said by the local level representatives. They also demanded for additional relief materials.
The district administration has said that it would not provide additional relief materials to the local levels unless they maintained transparency in the distribution of the relief.
