Two killed in forest fire

Rukum, A forest fire at Putha Uttarganga rural municipality in Rukum (East) has claimed two lives. The fire started at the Lalpatan jungle at Ward Number 3 of the rural municipality on Friday. 
The victims have been identified as Shyam Bahadur Bohara and Keshar Man Malla, both residents of Ward No 7 of the Putha Uttarganga rural municipality, Chief District Officer, Bhupendra Sapkota, said. Bohara and Malla had gone to the Lalpatan forest to collect firewood and grass. 
It is said they died on Sunday but the news came late as the place is lies at a remote location in the district. CDO Sapkota said another person from the same rural municipality, Sher Bahadur Bohara, has sustained serious burn injuries in the fire. He has been referred to a hospital in Kathmandu after providing general treatment in the district. It is said fire is still raging in the forest.
