Monsoon downpour razes down dilapidated school infrastructure


Dunai (Dolpa) - The incessant downpour for the past one week has triggered the collapse of basic but dilapidated infrastructures of a school here disrupting regular classes. 

The stairs, walls and playing ground of the Rara Lower Secondary School of Okta area of Mudkechula rural municipality – 8 collapsed in the monsoon downpour, according to Principal Lankaman Rokaya. 

The external structure of the school buildings have been damaged which has caused problems for students. 

The school is also not able to organize events at the playing field as well. As the rainfall continues intermittently, the school administration is facing the risk of the classrooms' walls giving way. At present, a total of 306 are enrolled at the school.
