Humla, Followers of Buddhism in the district celebrated Buddhist New Year that began from December 18 this year by exchanging well wishes, savouring delicious food items and organising musical programmes.
The followers of Badargaun, Dojam, Burause, Lagduk and Namkha, Ghiga, Khagalgaun, Kermi, Chaduk, Muchu, and Limi held a musical programme on this occasion.
The New Year marks a great joy and celebration among Buddhist community around the world. On this occasion, Buddha's statues are bathed, and worshipped, while candles are lit in temples to give homage to Lord Buddha.
