COVID-19: 213 people catch virus, three die on Saturday

KATHMANDU: Nepal reported 213 new COVID-19 cases and three infection-related deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday afternoon. 

The new cases were detected through a total of 6,632 sample tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). With this, the number of active cases across the country has reached 7,156. 

Including three deaths reported on Saturday, the COVID-19 death tally has hit 11,521. 

Meanwhile, the recovery figure has reached 802,047 with 325 recoveries reported on Saturday. The recovery rate stands at 97.7 percent and the death rate at 1.4 percent. 

As many as 115,434 people were vaccinated against the disease on Saturday.
