Nepal Bar Association to stage sit-in protest at both gates of SC, avoid CJ Rana from entering the court

KATHMANDU, November 14: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has prepared to stage a sit-in protest at the both gates of the Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday to avoid the Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana from entering the court.
The association has been staging protests piling pressure on CJ Rana to step down.
Following a sit-in at the front gate of SC by the association, CJ Rana had entered the court from the back gate on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, as many as six advocates were injured in the clash between agatitating advocates and the security personnel.
The NBA and some fellow advocates of the apex court have been staging protests and demanding the resignation of CJ Rana amid a deepening judicial crisis at the SC.
