Qatar Airways Open Golf Tournament 2017

Kathmandu   Kathmandu : Qatar Airways and Gokarna Forest Resort is once again pleased to announce “Qatar Airways Open Golf Tournament 2017”. This tournament will be played at Gleneagles designed, Gokarna Golf Club on Friday & Saturday, 8th and 9^th December 2017. This is the seventh consecutive year that Qatar Airways has sponsored this event, and has become one of the permanent features in the Nepal’s amateur golfing calendar. Qatar had been co-sponsoring the event in partnership with other sponsors since 2003.

                         This tournament will be played over 18 holes, on a stableford format with ¾ handicap allowance. About 90 Golfers including men, women, seniors age 60 and above and juniors age 17 and under will vie for the title from all the Golfing fraternity of Nepal.

Lady and Junior participants will test their skills on Friday 8^th December, and others will play on Saturday, 9^th December.

The competition will be fierce as the winner will receive an air ticket to Edinburg. Categories of prizes in the event are; Winner, Best Gross, Runner-up, Ladies Winner, Ladies Runner up, Senior Winner (age 60 &above), Junior Winner, Longest Drive, Closest to the pin and most birdies.

The lady golfers will start at 9:00 am on Friday and junior golfers will tee off at 2:00 pm. On Saturday the game will start with a shot-gun at 8:15 am and expected to be over by 1:30 pm. The prize presentation ceremony of the event will be held at Gokarna Forest Resort on Saturday, 9^th December at 2:00 pm.
