9,841 COVID-19 patients recover on Friday, 6,951 new cases detected

KATHMANDU, May 28: As many as 9,841 coronavirus patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours as of Friday afternoon, revealed the data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). This is the record-high number of recoveries in a single day. With this, the recovery rate has reached 78.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Nepal confirmed 6,951 new cases taking the overall caseload to 549,111 including 7,047 deaths. As many as 96 patients died of the coronavirus disease on Friday, the ministry said.
