Efforts on to attract FDI: Governor Nepal

 

Kathmandu-Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal has said the government was preparing necessary laws to attract foreign direct investment. In this effort, involvement of private sector was highly prioritized. 
During programme ‘Nepal-Korea Trade Night’ here Tuesday, Governor Nepal added that the NRB has brought forth the monetary and financial policies as per the government policy and programmes to prosper private sectors and ensure economic prosperity. 
The Governor also appreciated South Korea’s contribution in Nepal’s socio-economic development. Various bilateral agreements were made to bring in more and more FDI. 
South Korean Ambassador to Nepal, Park Yong Siek said Nepal-Korea relations were very intimate. He expressed the belief that Nepal’s economic activities would speed up after the elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial parliaments. 
Association of Nepal-Korea Industries and Commerce, Kiran Sakha, complained that Nepali industrialists were yet to do their best for lack of proper policy and environment.
