Naya Shakti Nepal's Gorkha's leader enters CPN-MC

Kathmandu - Around a dozen leaders and cadres along with Naya Shakti Nepal's central council member Basu Pokharel joined the CPN-Maoist Centre today.

CPN-MC Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' welcomed them amid a programme held in the capital city.

On the occasion, CPN-MC Chairperson Dahal said that there was no alternative to leftist alliance and the CPN-MC for the development and prosperity of Gorkha district.

Dahal, also the former Prime Minister, claimed that Gorkha district was the base for the leftist force and only the CPN-MC had the plans and programmes to give impetus to the social, economic development of the district.

According to him, Naya Shakti Nepal's leader Baburam Bhattarai's latest move to enter an electoral alliance with Nepali Congress would put Bhattarai and his party in jeopardy.

Leader Pokharel after being welcomed to CPN-MC explained," There is no political future and prosperity for country through fringe groups. I was earlier in CPN-MC and left it for Naya Shakti Nepal assuming that Bhattarai would do something notable. But the party's significance itself is at stake."

Pokharel is the candidate of election to House of Representatives from Kathmandu constituency no 5.

Also speaking at the programme, CPN-MC leader and candidate from the Gorkha constituency no 2 Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that there was a trend to enter CPN-MC from Naya Shakti Nepal lately.

He expressed his confidence that the leftist alliance would ensure stability and prosperity in the country.
