Tarakhola rural municipality gets doctor for first time

Kathmandu - A five-bed COVID-19 Temporary Hospital has come into operation at Tarakhola Rural Municipality in Baglung district. With this, the place has been visited by any medical officers for the first time. As per the government's decision to set up COVID-19 Temporary Hospital in each local unit, the treatment facility has been set up here at a multipurpose hall.

Tarakhola Rural Municipality Chairperson Prakash Gharti shared that the government had allocated Rs 1 million to construct COVID-19 Temporary Hospital. The rural municipality has recorded 20 coronavirus cases so far. 

Now, there is only one active COVID-19 patient in the rural municipality and the infected one was undergoing treatment at the isolation ward of the treatment facility, informed Health Coordinator in the Tarakhola Rural Municipality, Udit Thapa. The government has also released Rs 7 million to build a hospital nearby the COVID-19 treatment facility as per the 'One rural municipality, one hospital' policy of the government.
