Construction of view tower at Tamke Danda starts, locals excited

Kathmandu - Yubraj Bista Locals are excited with the start of construction works of view tower at Temke Danda (Hill), the religious and tourist site of Bhojpur district. The Province 1 government has started constructing view tower at Tamke Danda at a cost of Rs 136.28 million. Tamke Danda is located at 3,100 meters above the sea level. One can view plain areas of Tarai, six mountains over 8,000 meters including Mt Everest, Mt Makalu and Mt Kanchanjangha as well as 33 mountain ranges.

Movement of domestic tourists has started increasing at Tamke Danda with the start of construction of view tower. The construction of view tower has begun with a plan of attracting tourists at Tamke Danda. Chairperson of Temkemaiyung rural municipality, Dhruba Raj Rai, said that the construction of view tower would help tourism promotion of the district as well as Province 1. Chief of Urban Development and Building Construction Division Office, Dhankuta, Milan Acharya, shared, "The view tower has been designed with a target to develop it as the centre of main tourism attraction of Province 1.

A pond will be constructed at Tawa Bhanjyang, near the view tower." There will be museum on the ground floor of the 20-meter tall view tower and responsibility has been given to Kunsaling Construction, Bhojpur, in order to complete the construction of the view tower within 2082 BS. Chief Minister of Province 1, Sherdhan Rai, had laid the foundation stone for construction of the view tower.
