Favourable atmosphere demanded to run air service

Kathmandu - The Airlines Operators' Association has demanded that the government and concerned stakeholders create atmosphere favourable to resume air service, reasoning that the industry has been hardly hit due to the prolonged lockdown. The Association issued a press release today and reminded that thousands of people employed in the air service sector were rendered jobless after the air flights were disrupted since March 24.

Favourable atmosphere is required to resume the domestic and international air service from coming September 1. The recent meeting of the Council of Ministers had decided to suspend the air service till Sept 1. "If the air service is not resumed from September 1, the Association will resort to protest," the release stated, stressing the need of immediate resumption of domestic flights.
