Tibet's Shigatse city donates Rs 2.7 million worth of medical supplies to Bharatpur

Kathmandu - Shigatse city of Tibet province of China has donated Rs 2.7 million worth of medical appliances to Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Representatives of Shigatse city and members of Nepal Immigrant Chinese Association handed over the devices to the team led by Gopal Krishna Neupane, advisor of the metropolis amid a programme.

The donated medical appliances include 1000 pieces KN 95 facemasks, 50,000 pieces surgical masks, 800 RDT kits, 100 PPE, 1,000 pieces medical face shields and 4,000 pieces surgical hand gloves.

Mayor of the metropolis Renu Dahal said the assistance from Shigatse city would provide more encouragement to fight COVID-19 in Nepal, adding that these medical instruments would be best used in this regard. Bilateral cooperation between the metropolis and cities of China has been taking place. Earlier, Gurmu City of China had donated medical appliances to the metropolis to deal with the infection.
