MAN recommends monetary policy addressing COVID-19 impacted economy

Kathmandu - The Management Association of Nepal (MAN) has furnished recommendations to the Nepal Rastra Bank to introduce monetary policy for the new fiscal year that could cushion the COVID-19-impacted economy. In an interaction organized virtually here today, the MAN handed over a report on the discussion on monetary policy to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.

MAN had held a discussion on June 19 virtually with administrators, financial experts and stakeholders and prepared a report consisting recommendations for new monetary policy.

The MAN has suggested the NRB to facilitate to address the issues facing the bank and financial institutions in the current health crisis. Governor Adhikari pledged to consider the recommendations furnished by the MAN while formulating and launching the monetary policy for the fiscal year 2020/21.
