Maoist candidates win Karjanha municipality

Lahan - Candidates of CPN (Maoist Centre) registered victory to the post of mayor and deputy mayor of Karjanha municipality.
According to the vote count results, Maoist Centre Ganga Paswan was elected to the post of mayor while Gyan Kumari Shrestha of the same party secured deputy mayor.
Mayor Paswan secured 4,309 votes against 3,190 votes obtained by his close contender UML's Ram Dayal Mahato. Mahato.
Likewise, Shrestha gained 4,113 to get elected as deputy mayor. Her arch-rival Anju Rai of UML received 2,945 votes, informed Election Officer Subarna Man Banepali.
