COVID-19: 103 throat swab samples test negative for coronavirus in State-1
Kathmandu - One hundred and three throat swab samples have tested negative for coronavirus in State-1 as of Wednesday evening. Samples were collected from 145 people and sent for testing at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan. The COVID-19 Information Desk set up at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers stated that the results of the remaining 42 samples were awaited. Among the samples tested negative, 29 belong to women.
The Desk informed that 3,031 people are in quarantine and 10 are in isolation in the State. Similarly, 22 people including eight women have been released from isolation while 32 have returned home from quarantine as of Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Corona Public Protection Fund set up by the State-1 government has Rs 123 million 695 thousand 984 in deposit. Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai has said the State-1 government has been providing relief to the daily wage earners and the economically poor families affected by the lockdown through the one-door system.
He said this while receiving the monitoring report prepared by the mechanism comprising various political parties in the state here on Wednesday. Chief Minister Rai on the occasion sought cooperation from all political parties in the systematic management and distribution of relief to the needy people in the State-1.
