NMB Bank provides 100 sets of PPE to State 2 government

Kathmandu - The NMB Bank has provided personal protection equipment (PPE) essential for medical workers especially during the treatment of infectious diseases to the State 2 government. Bank deposit manager Mithilesh Kumar Jha handed 100 sets of PPE to Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut this morning. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said the assistance meant a lot for the government when the entire country was facing its short supply in time of its high need. As the Chief Minister said the assistance would help boost up the spirits of health workers deputed in the treatment of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a Dhanusha-based businessman has been arrested on the charge of cheating customers during the COVID-19 crisis. Area Police Office, Mahendranagar's police inspector Pappu Nayak said he was alleged of packing daily essentials by using faulty weights. He is the owner of Amrita General Suppliers which has official orders for supplying foodstuffs to Ganeshman Charnath municipality-based daily wage workers, poor, indigent and dalits bearing the brunt of a nationwide lockdown against the coronavirus.

Every relief packet contains 300 to 400 grammes less of the mentioned quantity. Municipality mayor Rambabu Yadav complained about his misconduct before the police. The alleged one will be prosecuted under the existing law. The alleged is the treasurer of Kshireswornath Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it is said.
