Members of WHO, SEARO holds dialogue on prevention of COVID-19

Kathmandu - Members of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and South East Asian Region (SEARO) on Thursday held discussion on prevention and control of COVID-19. During the discussion held through video conferencing, Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal stressed the need for all countries to unite and do their part to prevent and control the infection, said health expert at the ministry Dr Khem Karki. The Government of Nepal was effortful in preventing and controlling the infection that has spread across the globe, he said. Minister Dhakal underscored the need for Southeast Asian countries jointly should fight the pandemic. Health ministers of WHO SEARO region member countries should join the campaign against the virus launched by WHO, he quoted Health Minister Dhakal as saying. During the two-hour dialogue, experiences of member countries in controlling the virus was shared, he said.
